Flip Your Car ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at flipyourcar.com.au and provides direct car-buying services across Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, and South Australia.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, racial, or political data) and we do not use cookies for advertising tracking.

We use your information to:
- Prepare and send you a quote for your vehicle;
- Contact you about your enquiry, by phone or email;
- Arrange pickup, payment, and the transfer of vehicle ownership if you accept our offer;
- Comply with legal obligations relating to vehicle purchases (such as registry transfers and record-keeping requirements);
- Improve our service based on patterns of feedback or enquiries.
We do not use your data for any other purpose without your consent.
4. Who we share information with
We share your personal information only with:
- Service providers we rely on to run the website and process form submissions — currently Formspree (form delivery) and our email provider. These providers act on our instructions and only see the data necessary to deliver their service.
- Government registries — such as VicRoads, Service NSW, Access Canberra, or Service SA — when transferring ownership of a vehicle you've sold to us.
- Your finance provider — only if your vehicle has finance owing and we need to settle the loan as part of the sale.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing.
5. How we store and protect your data
Your information is stored on systems operated by reputable providers with appropriate security measures (encryption in transit, access controls, and regular backups).
While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to your query and complete any related transaction, plus any period required by law (typically up to 7 years for transaction records). After that, we securely delete or de-identify it.

Our website uses minimal cookies — only those required for basic site function. We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioural profiling tools.
